Dr. Morkel prides himself on holistic patient care and providing the latest orthopaedic advances to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Morkel believes that non-surgical measures should be exhausted. In the situation where non-surgical treatment is not an option, Dr. Morkel will thoroughly explain the procedure to his patients ensuring that they understand all aspects relating to the treatment. Dr. Morkel firmly believes that patients should have the tools to make informed decisions about any surgery and therefore puts a lot of emphasis on providing his patients with the knowledge and a clear understanding of the procedures, during consultations or at follow up visits.
Along with his commitment to providing outstanding patient care, Dr. Morkel believes strongly in the importance of advancing the field of orthopaedic medicine through involvement in leadership, advocacy, and education. Dr. Morkel is a member of the South African Orthopaedic Association.

TESTIMONIALS
Firstly, from myself and our family as a whole, a huge thank you for the exceptionally kind and professional (beyond the call of duty) care you have provided to my elderly mother (92 years old) when she recently fell and fractured her femur.
From the start the care she received under your direction at Mediclinic Stellenbosch was exceptional. She was provided with every possible means of comfort and assurance. The medical care (surgery) has been successful beyond expectations. The kind care, concern and professionalism you have shown is exceptional.
I don’t know how to express our appreciation. Thank you ever so much.
My sister and I would like to thank you and Dr. Morkel for all the encouragement and confidence you have both given our mother.
Thank you both for getting us through this difficult journey.
