ABOUT
Dr. Prinsloo is an orthopaedic surgeon with 23 years’ experience in private orthopaedic practice. He has a special interest in disorders of the shoulder joint and treatment of shoulder pathology.
Dr. Prinsloo completed his pre- and postgraduate studies at the University of Pretoria and qualified as an orthopaedic surgeon in 1995.
He started off his career in Pretoria as a general orthopaedic surgeon, but soon developed his practice to more specific the surgery of the shoulder, knee and hip joints, mainly arthroscopic and arthroplasty surgery.
After 15 years of practicing in Pretoria, he relocated to the Western Cape in 2010 starting a practice at the, then new, Cape Gate Mediclinic hospital.
An opportunity arose at Stellenbosch Mediclinic hospital in 2013 and he moved his practice to Stellenbosch.
From January 2017 Dr. Prinsloo decided to mainly focus his practice on the treatment of disorders of the shoulder which include conservative and surgical management, as well as rehabilitation of the shoulder joint and associated structures.
Dr. Prinsloo is also very actively participating in sport. He is a very keen cyclist and water sport enthusiast. Due to this keen interest in sport, he is also very involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
